DARI - the digital real estate ecosystem - in Abu Dhabi was launched with the support of the Department of Municipalities and Transport, to be one comprehensive platform that includes all the services of the real estate sector across the Emirate, and aims to improve the level of available services, as well as add new services to provide users with an easy experience to manage all their real estate transactions. Among the services available on DARI is the close tenancy contract - 2 party approval service, which enables you to complete all the procedures for closing the contract quickly, easily, and safely, from where you are. To perform the process of Close tenancy contract - 2 party approval, the landlord or owner must follow the following steps: 

  1. Login to DARI dari-login 
  2. Go to the Services menu on the main page, then select Rental
  3. Click on Close Tenancy Contract
  4. Search for the contract whose validity period has expired, then press on Next
  5. The lease contract details that the landlord or owner wishes to cancel will appear. After reviewing them, you must click on Close Tenancy Contract.
  6. Finally, a message will appear to confirm that a request to close the lease has been sent to the tenant for review and approval

After sending a request to close the tenancy contract by the landlord or owner, the tenant will receive a notification, and they will have to follow the following steps:


  1. Login to DARI dari-login 
  2. Go to the Applications menu on the main page, then click on All
  3. Choose the application for Tenancy contract closure
  4. Three options will be given:
  • Accept: A message will appear to sign the contract (by clicking the checkmark within a designated area) and to accept DARI's terms and conditions, then pressing Send to notify the landlord or owner of accepting the closure of the lease
  • Return with feedback: In this case, a small window appears for the tenant to write his feedback and the reason for the return, then press on Submit to send it to the landlord or owner
  • Reject: In this case, a notification is sent to the landlord or owner of a rejection of the tenant's request to close the tenancy contract

After that, the landlord or owner receives a notification of the action taken by the tenant and must follow the following steps:

  1. Login to DARI dari-login
  2. Go to the Applications menu on the main page, then click on All
  3. Choose the application for Tenancy contract closure

  • If the tenant accepts to close the tenancy contract, the contract will be completed, and there will be no action required on the part of the landlord or owner
  • If the tenant returns the application with the reason and feedback, the landlord or owner must either resubmit the request or terminate the application
  • If the tenant rejects the request to close the tenancy contract, the landlord or owner must terminate this application and submit a new request to close the tenancy contract, if he desires
